My name is James Wilson, and together with my wife, we proudly own and run Elite Dachshunds. As lifelong pet lovers, our journey with this amazing breed began in childhood and has since grown into a true passion.
My love story with Dachshunds started when I was just 10 years old. One Christmas, my parents surprised me with a Dachshund puppy named Liam. He wasn’t just a pet — he was my best friend, my comfort, and my constant companion. Whenever I was upset, Liam had a way of lifting my spirits, almost as if he could understand every word I said. Those memories shaped my deep love for the breed. Years later, in college, I met my wife. She adored Liam just as much as I did, and soon convinced her parents to get her a Dachshund of her own. Our dogs played together, and so did our bond. Sadly, I lost Liam during my college years, but the love and lessons he left behind only deepened my admiration for Dachshunds.
After getting married, my wife and I knew we wanted to continue this journey — not only by raising Dachshunds ourselves but also by helping other families experience the same love and joy this breed brings. Today, we raise our puppies on an acre of land, giving them plenty of space to play, explore, and grow into healthy, happy companions.
At Elite Dachshunds, we dedicate our time to responsible breeding, early training, and socialization, ensuring that each puppy is intelligent, well-mannered, and ready to join their forever home. Our goal is simple: to connect loving families with the perfect Dachshund companion, just as Liam was for me.
